Conscious parents look for Triclosan alternatives

"Planet Green ", published an article on the latest news about Triclosan. Now of course lots of folks pretty much knew this already, that Triclosan was bad news, but it's always nice to have more people on board.

Planet Green listed alternatives to Triclosan hand sanitizers and Clean George made the list!-- along with Burt's Bees Aloe & Witch Hazel Hand Sanitizer and CleanWell.

Some extra info- Our research shows those two hand sanitizers actually contain alcohol.

Dr.Hauschka ingredients linked to cancer?

I'm shocked, I've got to tell you. I've been using Dr. Hauschka products for some time and just took it for granted that they were "natural". Hmmm. I will say though that I think alot of their ingredients are natural and that some of their ingredients that have a high hazard rating on the skin deep database can actually be safe, as long as they are sourced properly, but as far as my research shows- not the ones mentioned in the video.

Japanese Honeysuckle is the same as a paraben?

So it seems like there is some serious greenwashing going on here. After our video blog posted about a product line sold at Sephora that claims to be preservative free yet contains a preservative called Lonicera Caprifolium, we received a link to an article written at the "Organic Consumers Association", about this ingredient being chemically identical to a paraben. Holy cow. Thank you to Sue who sent this to us. We appreciate the info.
Hello hello- Sephora folks might want to research these products before including them in their natural section.

Sephora.com has a “natural” section

Sephora.com has a "natural" section which we were so excited about, but once we looked up some of the products ingredients- well, it was a little disappointing.

One of the product lines claims to be preservative free, but they are using an ingredient called Lonicera Caprifolium which is a new natural preservative. Hey, it's ok to use a preservative, but let us know it's in there Bosca folks. You can double check the preservative info "here",
it was pretty far down the page.

Alcohol in hand sanitizers, not our favorite ingredient

Well, the word is out that alcohol kills H1N1, but what else is it killing and how is it affecting our skin and especially our children's skin?
