What’s REALLY in our body care products?

After experiencing the "horrible-ness" of cancer with my dad, I learned alot about the toxic and cancer causing chemicals that are in our products and that we thoughtlessly put on our bodies every single day. Now that I'm a mom, I'm always on the lookout for ingredients and product labels.

I thought it might be an interesting idea to share what I find every so often, to make it a little easier on the mom who's crazy busy or for someone who just doesn't know where to look.

Here are a couple ingredients that are in A LOT of products- even one's that call themselves "natural"...
PEG'S - there are many different types, but all are linked to either cancer or organ toxicity or neurotoxicity.
Phenoxyethanol - linked to organ toxicity, some studies have shown it linked to cancer and Japan has restricted this ingredient.

What? Sephora doesn’t have an organic hand santizer?

If you're a Sephora kind of gal, but you want an alternative to all the toxic and cancer causing chemicals in so many of the moisturizing products - Clean George is a great alternative.

We couldn't find an organic hand sanitizer at Sephora, but Sephora shoppers are writing to let us know they love Clean George! Thanks Sephora shoppers! We like you too.

They mentioned that what they love about Clean George is that it moisturizes like crazy, it's not greasy and they like that it is cleaning their hands. What could be better than that? Well... it is completely eco conscious from ingredients to packaging with organic ingredients and no harsh chemicals.

The Canadian “eco to-do” list

We love when people talk about us! Clean George made an all important "Canadian list", of things you can do to be more eco conscious incase you're overwhelmed and dont know where to begin. We also loved the glass straw suggestion - super cool.

H1N1 talk, natural prevention & our favorites

We were sent some "information", that we found interesting about the H1N1 vaccines and how it seems the preservative Thimoserol has "snuck it's way" into the multi dose vials. Also, beware if you have egg allergies because they are grown on eggs apparently. Good to know.

The bloggers also felt like a great natural prevention for the flu was using Clean George. We'd also like to second their comment about building the immune system. Super important!

Our favorite green formula is "Pure Synergy", - the ultimate super food and we love "New Chapter", - All Flora pro biotic. Love them. Love them.

Eating on the go with Clean George

When you're out and about and especially when you are "taking out",
keep Clean George on hand ... literally! Lot's of people are conscious of the extra waste when they get take out food. So, many are saying no to all the extras that end up in their bag. We think this and carrying Clean George when you're eating on the go is a good thing!
